Isolated from the rest of the Ugandan National Parks, Kidepo is a sight to behold. Consisting of dry savannah country with granite kopjies piercing the horizon and the 2750 m Mount Morungole dominating the scenery.

Dry plains game exists here and nowhere else in Uganda such as greater kudu, cheetah and rarely the beisa oryx. Bird species recorded number some 500.

This is true wilderness country located in Karamoja district and the drive is arduous and tricky. Really only for the truly adventurous of spirit!
